JUNE CHARITY: Thrive Social Services Society

What a wonderful night we had at the Langford Legion on June 4! These quarterly meetings never fail to remind us how important our donations are and the impact they have on the health of our community.
The charity chosen was Thrive Social Services Society. We raised $7,500 in one hour and we expect a few more donations from members who weren't able to attend. These donations will support the Foundry Westshore project, which is happening right here in Langford!
A note from Kathy Easton, Director of Implementation for Foundry Westshore:
“Thank you so much for the opportunity to present at the 100 Women Who Care Westshore event. It was a wonderful experience to share the vision for Foundry West Shore with such a generous and community-minded group.

I also want to extend our sincere thanks for selecting Thrive Social Services Society as the recipient of this quarter’s donation. We are incredibly grateful for the support. These funds will help build momentum in our early capital campaign and ultimately support better access to integrated health and wellness services for youth and families in the West Shore.”
We would also like to thank the businesses that supported this event with draw prizes for attending members:

• Jacky Pohl - $100 gift certificate at her salon, Halo Hair Studio
• Terri Rodstrom, 5 art cards from her collection.
• Gift basket from Lindsay Christina at Pink Lemonade Salon & Beauty Bar
